I'd like to start a new category entitled: jalan2 cari makan projects so that I can keep in memories all the places that Baieyah, Kamalia and I went for makan-makan on the 1st week each month (it's our tradition to go to new eateries every month).
. Well, as a kickstart... Here's the first entry under the jalan2 cari makan projects category.
.
KETAM STEAMBOAT VILLAGE
Location: Ground Floor, Ikano Power Centre, Mutiara Damansara
Date: 5th April 2009
.
It was Baieyah's 1st time in Damansara (If you don't really get it, read my previous post: WELCOME TO DAMANSARA), thus I brought Baieyah and Kamalia (my bestest buddies) to Mutiara Damansara, so that after having our so-late lunch, we can go window shopping (yeah, window shopping... I was damn broke) from Ikea to Ikano, then to The Curve, to Cineleisure and maybe then to TESCO as they are all linked to one another... Hehe.. so that we can save time, and yes, i can save my petrol (i'm damn broke, lols).
. For the so-late lunch, as usual we opted for a place which none of us have been there before... So, this time, we went eating at the Ketam Steamboat Village.
.
.
Browsing the menu in front of the shop, we unanimously agreed that we would give those steamboat a try... hell yeah! As usual, we found a secluded table, and started ordering... Hmmm... Forgive me that Baieyah has lost the bill, so that I couldn't really remember of what we had ordered and eaten that day... But basically, they are steamboats, lols (Duh... It's steamboat restaurant, sure la you eat steamboat.... Dummy... Haha).
.
But so far I remember, it was not bad lah the food, really nice, delicious, yummy... You guys must go and try yeah... Haha... What a bad promo.
.
Well, but as 3 of us were quite pagan in sense of using chopstick, haha... there were quite a number of funny scenes could be seen by the owner of the restaurant through their CCTV, should they have one there focussing right to our table... Haha...
(1) One of my chopstick suddenly flew onto the floor... haha... What an embarassment. (Haha, no lah, actually it fell off when the waiter was serving our meal la... Hehe... cover cover cover, malu ni.)
.
(2) We dunno how to kepit, so Kamalia opted for cucuk (See the below photo, which is self-explanatory)
.
(3) We dunno that the mee has to be boiled together with the other stuff to be softened, hahaha.... ended up we ate not-so-soft mee... But then we did boiling them after seeing other people doing so... Haha....
. (4) And a few more lah but I can't really recall them now as it took place about 1 month earlier... Haha... That's the effect of having a short-term memory power and the tendency of procrastinate things... Haha... I should write the post a month ago la... Poor Nudge.
. Anyway, should you like to read more, and BETTER review on the Ketam Steamboat Village, do visit the link http://eatfirstthinklater.blogspot.com/2007/09/ketam-steamboat-village-and-soya-shop.html. The review and comments there are far better than mine till I felt hungry reading her review... kudos to the writer... But I promise, in future, I'll write comments on the restaurants right after testing their food yea...
. Forgive me this time yea...
.
~They were too hungry~ .
.
Nudge: Anyway, though we looked stupid that day (Actually we always look stupid during our Jalan2 Cari Makan Projects) we really enjoyed the time we spent together. You know, by having this show-your-stupidity-and-paganism events, then can we only meet up regularly each month. Otherwise, we'll lose contact due to our hectic daily schedules (cheh, now I sound like we are all Directors of multi-national companies.... walao).
Chow and Adios...
