THE SIMPLEST THING WHICH DRIVES ME NUT

I do not know whether it is just me, or the way I was raised, or anyhow that I can't help but getting angry whenever McDelivery (read McDonald's Delivery Service) delivers my order without ketchup (if you are Malaysians, read "tomato sauce").

Hey, how do you eat burgers without ketchup? What about french fries?

Hm... I wonder... I have to keep telling the customer service people taking my order, "I want ketchup too, please." And seriously, why on earth are they so stingy with ketchup?

I don't know... Lol.

Nudge: Just imagine how is the world without ketchup.... Hmmm~

But seriously, any idea when is the Charlie Brown Cafe @ Suria KLCC is opening? I have seen the location, yet I can't find anywhere on the exact date of its opening... Any idea, guys?

DU VIET RESTAURANT & CAFE

"Xin chao" is the hello in Vietnamese.

Today is Eddie's birthday, so planned to throw him a feast, and after one pretty quick brainstorming, we decided to give Vietnamese cuisine a try.

Well, what should I say? The food were decent, the staff were friendly enough and the price, even a little bit pricey, still the cuisine worth a try.
They separated the menu into appetisers, main course (single or set), desserts, side dishes and beverages. And ordering was smooth as they adopted the browsing and write order system. And amazingly, eventhough we wrote order in numbering code as per the menu, the waiters said our orders out loud without making any flipping the menu until Eddie and I went, "Wow, he really memorised the whole menu!!!" Kudos~

What we ordered?

Steamed wrapped rolls - delicious

Hue-style beef congee - I ordered this, and tasted like our beef porridge but a little fatty.

Traditional beef noodles - Eddie said it was nice.

Three colour delites - This is cendol with ice-cream.

And after sometime, we decided to try their coffee as we noticed that the coffee beans come from Vietnam... The plan was to try their coffee and compare with the commercial coffee we always have, and yes, their Special Drip Coffee with Vanilla was a little different.

Haha... It was served in a special drip which was put on top of the coffee mugs (was that a mug? Haha) and the coffee dripped slowly onto the vanilla in the mug below. We were like 'orang kampung' tried and tasted the coffee inside the drip... Yet, there was no real taste neither coffee scent. Any Vietnamese care to explain?

Haha.... How did it taste?
Well, basically we had to wait for the coffee to drip into the mug, then stirred them, and tadaaaa.... The bitterness dipped into your mouth followed by sweetness. It was like, "bersusah-susah dahulu, bersenang-senang kemudian."

Shall we come again?
For a variety, yes. Recommend you guys the steamed wrapped rolls. Awesome!!!!

Heck, I am so confused...

Our En. Mat Sabu is saying one thing, the UMNO people are saying another thing, whilst Prof. Emeritus Khoo Kay Kim is saying the other thing, and another Malay prof is saying some sort of another thing altogether.

I am confused...

But I am pretty sure now that the history subject which I learned from Form 1 to Form 5 were almost all lies and engineered.

Sad... I have been cheated by my teachers for 5 years.

Sad...

Who to blame? No wonder we are all confused Malaysians manipulated by the hidden hands through the education system.

Sis 1: Ada kura-kura kat tasik tadi. (There are tortoises at the lake)

Sis 2: Tak nampak pun. (I didn't see any)

Sis 1: Saya nampak beberapa ekor tadi. (I DID see a few of them)

Sis 2: Mungkin itu batu... Kamu salah nampak (Maybe they were just rocks that looked like tortoises)

Me: Ya lah... Mana ada kura-kura kat situ. (Yeah, there were no tortoises there)

Sis 1: [Marah] Saya kata saya nampak kura-kura!! ([Angry] I said there were!!!)

Me: Seumur hidup saya selama 28 tahun, saya tak pernah nampak pun kura-kura kat tasik tu (I've been living for 28 years and I've seen not even a single tortoise there)

Then only I realised that thorughout this year (year 2011) I have been filling up every sort of forms indicating my age as "28" when I am actually "27 years old" this year.

JULY & AUGUST SNIPPET

Lots and lots of things happened for these past few weeks, yet I am really lazy to get myself online blogging.

A quick snippet around July & August this year -

1. As you all know, it is Ramadhan now. So, fasting fasting and fasting. Unfortunately, I have missed 1 day due to low blood pressure. Was unable to even get myself out of the bed, dizzy and nausea (I thought I was pregnant and having morning sickness... OMG... lols) so that doctor asked me to take medicines during the daylight. Hmm... Need to replace what I have missed.

~ Selamat berpuasa to all Muslims....~

2. Office organised (actually I was the one in-charged) a buka puasa in Crowne Plaza. The food was OK lah, but still, the previous year's buka puasa in Shang-ri La Hotel was way better.

And dunno why, was pretty down to recall that this year's buka puasa would be the last buka puasa I would have with Integrax staff. Some sort of melancholic (Yeah, I have tendered my 2-months resignation notice sometime ago) feeling.

~The ladies... Erm... Where are Chan Ching Yng, Hah Seng Loong and Kak Rokiah~

3. Well, went to Stadium nasional Bukit Jalil for the World Cup Qualifier Match between Malaysia and Singapore sometime ago. Wearing the Harimau Malaya jersey, thought that we could win, aisehhh, sekali we lost lah... Still, it was OK... for the facts that Malaysian Team being there at that level was indeed a proud moment, nevertheless it struck me proudly when I saw lots of Non-Malays faces were there too... Thanks to Bersih 2.0, now we had Chinese and Indians cheering and jeering for Malaysian football team too!!

Speaking about fostering unity, I strongly believe that we are on the right track. Thanks, Bersih 2.0.

~Once I got the jersey, straight away wore it as a jumper.... Hahaha! Then rushed out of office, got changed, and vroomed to Bukit Jalil...~

4. Lost my ATM Cards twice in 1 month... And the counter officer was sweet, she even remembered me. Love her smile, but unfortunately, she's married... Hahaha~ Nah, she's a lil' bit older for me. Lols... Gatal.

5. Looking forward for Borneo trip this November. Will keep it posted later!

6. Had a reconciliation with Chirayuth Tu Win after a long misunderstanding. Friends are always friends after all. Thanks Kamalia and Baieyah, you were really good mediators! And Yuth, looking forward for really a great time ahead!

ISLAM: WHO IS ALLAH?

Promoting a better understanding between all of us, Malaysians, beyond racial differences and religious boundaries, I wish to share the following info about my religion, Islam. And yes, you can always write and let me know about your religion too...

Here is the first entry, detailing on who is Allah - the God according to Muslims' belief.

WHO IS ALLAH?

Is Allah the god of Muslims?

Why are there no pictures or statues of Allah?

Allah is referred to as "Him". Is He human-like?

Are there other names for Allah?

Does He have a son?

Does Allah have other gods to help him?

Does Allah need a rest day?

Is Allah the god of Jesus?

If Allah is compassionate, why is there so much suffering?

If Allah is merciful, then does He forgive all our sins?

The Lord of Creation

Allah is the Lord of all created things in the seen and unseen worlds.

Everything in creation worships and submits to Him.

The faith of Muslims is Islam. It means submission to the will of Allah.

No Pictures

Allah is perfect, thus He is beyond the grasp of human vision. He is unlike anything that the human mind can imagine. If we imagine a perfect dish, can we actually envision how does it exactly taste and how does a perfect-looking male should actually look like?

Therefore drawing pictures or making statues that represent Him as a human, a semi-human or an animal is unacceptable and considered a major sin in Islam.

Not a guy

If you speak English, you use the words "jim" and "she" a lot and it is very easy to give people wrong ideas about god.

The female equivalent for 'God' is 'Goddess'. Some believe that God has female partners, Reducing God to a human family person is unacceptable in islam.

The Almighty calls Himself "Allah" in the Quran.

This Arabic word has no plural and no male or female equivalents.

If God being a male, which is a creation or human attribute, he surely needs a female companion, vice versa. Such need does not make God perfect and self-sufficient anymore.

Oh, by the way, The Almighty is not an old man who posed for Michaelangelo!

Attributes of Allah

Some books refer to the "99 names" of Allah. These names are attributes of Allah.

Allah is referred to as Merciful, Just and Compassionate. More than 99 attributes of Allah are mentioned in the Quran.

Allah is Eternal

Allah is eternal. He was not created. He existed before He created.

His creations need Him but he does not need them for His existence.

Allah does not have a son or assistants. If he needs the help of others, then He would not be self-sufficient and be in need of a Creator. Such will make a 'God' no longer a God.

Nothing is like Him.

The Creator cannot be of the same nature as the things He created. His creations have a beginning and an end.

Allah existed before the beginning and will remain after the end.

Ever Living

The notion that the Almighty needed a rest day after creating the heavens and earth is a human innovation and not the Almighty's view of Himself.

It is those who were not involved in creation that are taking the rest.

Created things 'burn out'. Allah is ever living.

The One True God

Allah is a proper noun unique to The One True God who alone deserves all worship.

He is the God of all Prophets that He chose to convey His message.

Among the well-known Prophets are Noah, Abraham, David, Moses, Jesus, Adam and the final Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon them).

The Compassionate

Our suffering is caused by our failure to adhere to what He has permitted and refrain from what He has prohibited.

There are times when, for example, we cannot explain why bad things happen to good people.

Allah knows best.

We must seek His help in prayer.

The Merciful

In the Quran, The Almighty states that He will forgive the sins of the Believers who repent sincerely and do not repeat their sins.

Many will say they too believe in The One True God but their daily lives are infused with idolatrous practices such as wearing talismans and worshipping statues.

The Almighty declares in the Quran that He will not forgive the worshipping of false gods.

I couldn't stop laughing when this happened, yet I had to... Otherwise, people would give me a stare for being too insensitive, but tell me what would you do should see the below scenes -

WAIT

Was on the train when it reached Damai Station. There was not so many people there waiting for the train when it stopped, until... There was this aunty running up the stairs, rushing when the train was about closing the doors with beeping sounds... "teet... teet." I, who was standing next to door, clearly saw this aunty running like mad, screaming, "Wait! LRT, wait! Wait!" With her hand waving like calling for about-to-move bus. "Wait! Wait, LRT, Wait!!!"

And guess what, the LRT did not wait for her.

Why? Cuz Putra LRT (Former name of Kelana Jaya Line LRT) does not have drivers... Hehehe~

Poor aunty. Sorry that I am giggling now~ Really sorry.

NEXT STATION, PLEASE

You were on this train when it stopped at KLCC Station. You know, Arabs love flocking around KLCC, and most of the ladies wear abaya (the clothing which cover the whole body except the eyes)...

There was this 1 family - consisting of a dad, mom, and 2 kids. When the door beeping and closing, the whole family ran and dashed into the train, EXCEPT for the mom who was not able to run in the abaya, and the father who was with the stroller.

So, who were on train?? Haha... The two kids! Lalala~

They were all frightened, panicking... Imagine, the father was outside of the train, did not manage to get in with the mom, leaving the two kids (around age of 7 and 5, I guess) on board.

The train then moved, and the kids screamed so loud!!! Crying~

Luckily, a very good aunty got them down at the next station, and I heard her saying to get them waited for the next train to look for their parents.

Poor family~

BERSIH LAGI

It's funny to see my friends and acquaintances keep calling people who join Bersih as "bodoh" (translation, stupid), calling names such as "Ambingai" to Ambiga, remarking Chinese as "dogs" and etc.

Well, in arguing and disagreeing, what is our focus? The issue itself or people's personality? Why such remarks and nicknames?

The religion never allow us for such act, and why are we playing with racial issues... Hmm~

Maybe all Anti-Bersih people should value their act and argument skills... Seriously!

And for all Bersih supporters, please and please dun react to such statements. Let's keep ourselves on the higher road yea. And ignore such racist remark cuz we all know our value... Please.

And again, I believe in Bersih, believe that it has nothing to do with racial sentiments (We have seen it today), it was a peaceful rally and all in all, it was a success.... Let's have it again next time!!! Peacefully, again!!!

I have an HTC phone, which I love much, adore like mad and to a degree, I love talking bout it, praising my HTC phone to heaven and sometimes errr.... boasting and bragging bout it... Hahaha~

And well, as much that I am a person of calibre (read, dominant) hahaha, I have and keep influencing people around me to get themselves any HTC phones as HTC really produces ~~good~~ the best smartphones, and YES!!! They believe me... Hahaha!!!

Me, Myself and again Me!!!

I have this powerhouse HTC Desire HD which I love much. I love its net browsing speed, the processor, I love its HD functions, I love the smart HTC sense and the zero waiting map. Seriously! And yes, given a free iPhone to swap with my lovey dovey HTC Desire HD, hahaha... my choice would still go to retain my HTC Desire HD. Awesome! Talking about being loyal, aren't we? Hahaha.

Ooi Leng

This is Ooi Leng, my colleague. She finally bought herself an HTC Wildfire after being talked by me on how awesome HTC's navigator... Hehehe... But, she's having problem with the wifi, the dealer whom she bought the smartphone from had set something gawky to the phone... Pity her.

Dun worry, Ooi Leng, once you've sorted out the wifi issue, I will configure the phone to its best for you!!!! Repeat after me, Ooi Leng, "HTC is the best phone!!!" Hahaha~

Saiful

This is my ex-housemate. I remember he SMSed me one day asking my opinion whether to buy HTC Sensation or a latest LG phone (Sorry, LG is just not my thing I can't really remember its model) and without hesitation I recommended HTC Sensation.

The truth is, I did not even know that HTC had came out with HTC Sensation... Hahaha~ My recommendation was purely based on my faith in HTC products... Hahaha~

And yes, Saiful is one proud owner of HTC Sensation!!! Hell yeah!!!!

Hah Seng Loong

Another colleague of mine.

I have been bragging about my kawesomely-ass-kickin' HTC Desire HD for months during our lunch hour (almost everyday hahaha), and jeng jeng jeng... Finally, he ordered the HTC Sensation from Maxis... Hahaha~

Hah is now eagerly waiting for his HTC Sensation!!!! Yeah!!!!!

Edward

Daily outings with me promoting (boasting, actually) my stunning HTC Desire HD has for sure lured Edward to get himself any HTC really soon... Don't tell me, Edward, that my promoting skills fail to incept into your mind that HTC is better than Apple's iPhone...

Well, I have a proof, you know, you once said you are going to get yourself an HTC... Hahaha... And you did admit that my superior HTC Desire HD is smashing cool!!! Right? Right?

It is just a matter of time for Edward to trade his iPhone for any cool HTC. Lols.

A Couple on the train

There was one Chinese couple standing next to me last night on KTM Komuter from KL Sentral to Subang Jaya when my cute HTC Desire HD rang. When I picked up, talked and hanged up then pressed here and there and browsing Facebook, the miracle moment finally popped up -

The Girl : (whispering to the Boy) HTC
The Boy : (Asking me) What model is that?
Me : HTC Desire HD
The Girl : It's fast, right?
Me : (Acting like an HTC salesman) Yes, the processor is 'super duper' fast.
The Boy : How much is the price?
Me : Around RM2k
The Boy : I see. How's the camera?
Me : 8 megapixel.
The Girl : Wow!!
The Boy : She wants to buy the same phone.
Me : (Smiling)

The above conversation did really happen. And I am quite certain that they will buy an HTC, probably tomorrow.

SAYA MALAYSIAN

I lost my wallet somewhere a few weeks ago and it was pretty troublesome to not having the MyKad (the Malaysian identification card), driving license and all the atm cards in hand. For weeks I had to bring the A4 size police report to almost everywhere, and yeah for weeks I had to transfer money to colleagues' accounts before they could draw them out for me.

I just didn't have time to queue for the MyKad replacement, and for that, my application for my bank cards was denied.

And it is only today that I finally managed to find a day-off and get everything settled.

Tips for those who lost their MyKad -

1. Lodge a police report (regardless the govt and the related ministries keep telling that we no longer have to cuz we know them well, don't we? lols) as for not having it lodged, application for 'ah long's' (shark loan) financing can be made by any culprits possessing your card, and you can simply be made liable.

2. The Jabatan Pendaftaran Negara at Maju Junction Mall is open on Saturday. For weekdays, opt to Wangsa Maju branch or the Bandar Tun Razak branch. Lesser people there.

3. Do not bother to try applying it online though the Govt and the related Minister did recently announce we can do so; cuz actually the system is so antique and not functioning the way it is supposed to be. You will ended up being asked to contact some hotline numbers or to go to the nearest branch. I have tried before and yes, it was somewhat frustrating and reminded me to our tourism minister (Ng Yen Yen who spent almost RM1.8 million for her ministry's facebook page)... Hehe ;-)

4. The fees for losing your MyKad as follow -

(a) for first timer - RM110
(b) 2nd time - RM220
(c) 3rd time onwards - RM330 + akuan bersumpah needed

5. You will be given a temporary B3-sized plain-paper replacement IC and you can claim the replacement MyKad after 10 days which you need to count yourself, and to pay a guessing visit to the branch aftee 10 days. If your replacement MyKad is ready, there you go!!! But if it is yet to ready, hahaha, nasib lah... Do come again. They won't issue you any notification, that was what being told me by the officer there.

Well, with or without Mykad, I am still a Malaysian... At heart!

Haha... This is really an archeologist-type post... Gotta admit, I am a lazy sort of guy, went there last April and now only feel like sharing... Haha...

I live in 2-months late sorta kind of world, so, forgive me!

Departure

We boarded train from KL Sentral to Arau. It was Edward's first time train ride. His comments? Hahaha... bumpy and restless... Hahaha... Can't blame him, the only time he managed to sleep was when we hang around the cafetaria... Haha~

Things to remember -
(i) We thought we have boarded the wrong train, i.e. the one heading to Kelantan as we heard the other passengers chit chatting in a dialect which sounds like Kelantanese/Siamese. Haha...
(ii) The toilet was funny...

Then took ferry from Kuala Perlis. New experience for me, yet nothing special... Haha... Boring I should say~ Hahaha... The only time we went "Yeay!!" was when we saw the Kuah Jetty.

On the Island

We got ourselves a car, a Toyota Vios.
People say that was cheap enough...

And yes, renting a car for this trip was a nice bet cuz Langkawi does not really have KL-standard public transport system. Anyway, we went all around the island, you name it!!!

Oriental Village - This red-eyed rabbit bite Edward's 'middle' finger.... Hahaha... They have tiger too but unfortunately we were stingy lots to donate, so no photos snapped.

Island hopping - 4 islands... and we had the fastest boat.... They fed eagles on the way back.

Accomodations

It was 4 days and 3 nights trip.

1st & 2nd nights - Hotel Bahagia, Kuah. Was a small hotel with a wonderful service. It did feel like we were staying in a few stars hotel. The buffeted breakfast was yummy, won't lose to expensive hotels. The room was cosy, with cool hot shower. Great hotel. Recommended!

3rd night - Sandy Beach Resort - Haha... got mosquitoes... Breakfast was okay. The nice thing bout it was that it was on Pantai Chenang Beach! Full stop. Hahaha...

Food

Aside of Hotel Bahagia's breakfast which was really worth mentioning, applause should go to the following -

1. Wan Thai Restaurant Recommended!

Located right next to Hotel Bahagia. They served yummy Thai food... And our favourite was the crab!! Hahaha~ They were good till we paid another visit the next day.

2. Saloma Nasi Lemak

One of the places where you can get really delicious food with cheap prices. Located near the Kuah Jetty. Their itik curry was damn nice!!! Recommended!

Returning

Hahaha... No more train... Flied back to KLIA. Hahaha~

Suggestions -

1. Rent a car in Langkawi, a good car will do best.

2. Do not stay in Pantai Chenang area; for a better hotel with cheaper price. Highly recommend Hotel Bahagia in Kuah.

3. Take the island hopping package.

4. Buy a map.

5. Dine at Wan Thai Restaurant.

6. Try the Saloma Nasi Lemak (Nearby Jetty Point)... Their duck curry is the best deal

7. Be patient with Langkawi drivers, they are among the worst drivers in Malaysia you can find, haha...

8. Get a cable car ride at night.

9. Do not bring neither plastic bag nor plastic wrapper to any place with monkeys around... They would try to snatch and might even chase you as they think they contain food... Plastic bottle is OK

9. Lots and lots sun block lotion.

BERSIH 2.0

Bersih 2.0 demands (as excerpted from their website) -

"These are the 8 immediate demands for Perhimpunan BERSIH 2.0:

1. Clean the electoral roll
The electoral roll is marred with irregularities such as deceased persons and multiple persons registered under a single address or non-existent addresses. The electoral roll must be revised and updated to wipe out these ‘phantom voters’. The rakyat have a right to an electoral roll that is an accurate reflection of the voting population.

In the longer term, BERSIH 2.0 also calls for the EC to implement an automated voter registration system upon eligibility to reduce irregularities.

2. Reform postal ballot
The current postal ballot system must be reformed to ensure that all citizens of Malaysia are able to exercise their right to vote. Postal ballot should not only be open for all Malaysian citizens living abroad, but also for those within the country who cannot be physically present in their voting constituency on polling day. Police, military and civil servants too must vote normally like other voters if not on duty on polling day.

The postal ballot system must be transparent. Party agents should be allowed to monitor the entire process of postal voting.

3. Use of indelible ink
Indelible ink must be used in all elections. It is a simple, affordable and effective solution in preventing voter fraud. In 2007, the EC decided to implement the use of indelible ink. However, in the final days leading up to the 12th General Elections, the EC decided to withdraw the use of indelible ink citing legal reasons and rumours of sabotage.

BERSIH 2.0 demands for indelible ink to be used for all the upcoming elections. Failure to do so will lead to the inevitable conclusion that there is an intention to allow voter fraud.

4. Minimum 21 days campaign period
The EC should stipulate a campaign period of not less than 21 days. A longer campaign period would allow voters more time to gather information and deliberate on their choices. It will also allow candidates more time to disseminate information to rural areas. The first national elections in 1955 under the British Colonial Government had a campaign period of 42 days but the campaign period for 12th GE in 2008 was a mere 8 days.

5. Free and fair access to media
It is no secret that the Malaysian mainstream media fails to practice proportionate, fair and objective reporting for political parties of all divide. BERSIH 2.0 calls on the EC to press for all media agencies, especially state-funded media agencies such as Radio and Television Malaysia (RTM) and Bernama to allocate proportionate and objective coverage for all potlical parties.

6. Strengthen public institutions
Public institutions must act independently and impartially in upholding the rule of law and democracy. Public institutions such as the Judiciary, Attorney-General, Malaysian Anti-Corruption Agency (MACC), Police and the EC must be reformed to act independently, uphold laws and protect human rights.

In particular, the EC must perform its constitutional duty to act independently and impartially so as to enjoy public confidence. The EC cannot continue to claim that they have no power to act, as the law provides for sufficient powers to institute a credible electoral system.

7. Stop corruption
Corruption is a disease that has infected every aspect of Malaysian life. BERSIH 2.0 and the rakyat demand for an end to all forms of corruption. Current efforts to eradicate corruption are mere tokens to appease public grouses. We demand that serious action is taken against ALL allegations of corruption, including vote buying.

8. Stop dirty politics
Malaysians are tired of dirty politics that has been the main feature of the Malaysian political arena. We demand for all political parties and politicians to put an end to gutter politics. As citizens and voters, we are not interested in gutter politics; we are interested in policies that affect the nation.

Once again, BERSIH 2.0 calls on the rakyat who believe in these 8 demands to join us on 9 July to promote democracy and electoral reform. BERSIH 2.0 would like to express our deepest appreciation to the rakyat, NGOs and political parties who have expressed support for these demands. Together we can work towards building a better Malaysia.

BERSIH 2.0 welcomes UMNO Youth’s intention to exercise their right to freedom of peaceful assembly and to seek for improvement of the electoral system. As both UMNO Youth and Pakatan Rakyat component parties have made allegations of involuntary movement of voters, we call on the EC to clarify the allegations considering only the EC is capable moving voters.

BERSIH 2.0 regards UMNO Youth’s move as an indication that the Perhimpunan BERSIH 2.0 is effectively promoting a vibrant democracy and affecting strong pressure on the EC for electoral reform. BERSIH 2.0 wishes success for UMNO Youth and all other parties exercising their right to freedom of peaceful assembly. We call on all participants for any public assemblies to be held on 9 July to ensure a peaceful experience of exercising democratic rights.

BERSIH 2.0 would like to assure the police and all quarters that the Perhimpunan BERSIH 2.0 is a peaceful citizens’ movement. As we have stated previously, BERSIH 2.0 intends to work with the police to ensure the successful facilitation of the peoples’ constitutional right to peaceful assembly."

I'm gona join the Bersih 2.0 rally this July 9th, no matter what ;-)

Anybody else joining, do let me know... Maybe we can meet there and walk together, since most of the friends that I know in real life do not really have balls - they are frightened to join, thanks to the racist Ibrahim Ali. So, maybe we can walk together...

Anyway, to all people who do care enough to join, please spare some time to read through the organiser's notes on the rally, especially on the rally's demands...

It's always better not to blindly join even anything, neither to agree with something which you do not actually having agreement.

Almost everyone knows that I am a Kelantanese, even as a proud one!

So, I think it is really appropriate that I sometimes, write something from the perspective of a proud, loud and unique Kelantanese... And maybe sometimes I should write in Kelantanese dialect, or maybe what best to do is to write something about us, the eccentric Kelantanese... introduce ourselves to the whole world (hahaha... to the bloggers who happen to be lost and out of no where appear to read my blog lah) who we really are and why for most of the time we are prouder to call ourselves Kelantanese rather than a Malay.

6. Had two new housemates.

CELEBRITY FITNESS - AFTER SO LONG

I just realised that I have Morning Foot Pain i.e. which may be caused by prolonged improper footwear + work-work-no-exercise habit, and topping off by the flat and high arch feet syndrome I have. Darn, now I sound like an OKU... :-(

Went seeing a doctor not so long ago, and was told by him to get my lazy-bumped ass hitting the treadmill (He didn't actually say "lazy-bumped" though he did mention "treadmill"... hahaha).

His advise went futile until almost 2 months before the pain really had a toll on me that I asked Edward to drag me to the gym... Huh, gotta admit, I need some external push to get my lazy-bumped ass working... Hmmm~ Inner motivation didn't seem to prevail in this case, by the way...

So, there he was, tried to lure me to Celebrity Fitness (Hahaha, I have been Celebrity Fitness' member since early this year (But I never really go do any workout there eventhough I keep paying every month, lols) when I switched from Fitness First as I found Fitness First was a meat market for xxx males... Lols Disclaimer: No pun intended)... And his attempt only became fruitful yesterday, even that only happened after one round of nasi dagang and nasi kerabu at Belanga...

Hahaha...

I really hit the treadmill for 45 mins, doing the ~~(hahaha)~~ walking. Found out the posture was a little bit unstable for the same reasons I mentioned in the 1st paragraph above. So, I didn't really do any running. Guess that was good enough... As well that we did some RPM a.k.a. free-style cycling. Didn't really get enough of them, seriously, and I think the gym will see more of me later... (A big applause for myself after almost 1 year isolating myself from gym, lols).

The reason for the hung? The session I had that day eased the pain a bit... As well that I think my foot entitle for more time enjoying themselves in those special cushioned Nike shoes. Seriously, felt better.

Comments on Celebrity Fitness?

Pro -
The meat market is not as huge as the one in Fitness First (Had these awkward + creepy moments with xxx males in Fitness First; even creepier when old and bald guys came and tried to flirt with you.

But dunno la, that was based on my 1st visit to Celebrity Fitness, who knows should Celebrity Fitness is even worse, right? Haha

Cons -
They don't give complimentary drinks. I want coffee... Hahaha.

Well, given that 3 months has passed, it is good to revisit and see my performance, i.e. what I have done/achieved so far nevertheless what is still idle... Here we go -

4. ~~A trip to Langkawi~~ Had a really wonderful days there.

5. To have a full list of old folks' and my childhood games.

6. Want to do bungee jump Sunway???

7. To get done with exams.

8. A better pay.

9. To settle all debts

10. A trip to Sabah Saving money now

11. Save at least a few hundreds by end of the year (Hahaha...)

Being Kelantanese, I gotta admit that I love eating ducks... keep craving for ducks, and yet it's pretty tough to find halal ducks around KL as Non-Kelantanese Malays do not really find ducks and their relatives to befitting their appetite.

A resolution, hehehe... Look out for Flying Chillies. Where? The Gardens, Midvalley.

Being a Thai restaurant, they serve delicious duck curry... And as well, do try their green chicken curry... Nice, nice and nice... Hmmm~

We ate here a few times, then had a shot at Chakri Palace, KLCC which is somewhat a well-known Thai restaurant... and guess what, the one served by Flying Chillies is far better than Chakri's. And it won't make you as broke either.

The only comparison to Flying Chillies' Green Chicken Curry is the one at Secret Recipe's. Both are savoury, creamy and salivating. Haha... But please bear in mind, they are darn spicy, spicy and spicy. You have been forewarned, yeah!

Customer Service

Like other Thai restaurants, be prepared to be greeted, "sawaddika~p" or "sawaddikra~p" once stepping into their premises. Lols.

On behalf of John Doe and myself, I need to put on record that their customer service during our visits were always nice... comfortably welcoming enough.

And, hahaha... we did have a great deal friendly argument during our first visit when one of the waiter made mistake with our order, and hahaha... we were given complimentary drinks (Summing up, we did not pay for anything that day, lols). And yes, such isolated incident would never stop us from frequenting Flying Chillies... Believe me, what had happened that day really had gotten us on the nerve, but their superb rectifications and contingencies had really made us postively surprised. The supervisor had even came out to apologise and even bothered explaining the unfortunate incident... Hehe, Mr./Ms. Waiter, you were forgiven... Hahaha.

Seriously, looking for a good treat, try Flying Chillies!

Well, this year I am going to be 27 years old... Pretty scary thinking bout getting older and older, yet it is something that no medicines could cure, and yes, it's not even a disease or anything.

Things I wish to do in 2011

1. Buy a Macbook - Done.

2. Buy an HTC Desire - Done, I've even bought HTC Desire HD. Lols.

3. Get myself a PS2 to replace the one that I lost last year - Haha... I bought PS3 indeed. Gila you can say!

4. A trip to Langkawi - Planning now.

5. To have a full list of old folks' and my childhood games.

6. Want to do bungee jump.

7. To get done with exams.

8. A better pay.

9. To settle all debts.

10. A trip to Sabah.

11. Save at least a few hundreds by end of the year (Hahaha...)

12. To learn either new language/sign language.

The time really does not wait, huh, since I posted my last entry herein, tup-tap tup-tap, it's now May.

1. May 13 - I do not know what kind of Malaysians that intended to organise the "May 13 Gathering" in Terengganu. What a U-turn they were trying to make. When other people are busy harping on 1Malaysia, they harbored on the unfortunate incident pula.

2. May 14 - Malaysia lost their Thomas Cup battle. Sad but what to do~ We'll scream more next time! Lols.

3. Somewhere in April - Al-fatihah to the late Aminulrasyid Amzah, who was shot dead by the Police. Was stunned to know the news...

4. May 17 - Abah's birthday. I love you, Abah. Bought a belt from Pavillion's Parkson for Abah's present, and saw this beautiful gift wrapping staff. Haiz... Too bad, I did not have the gut to make a move. Will buy something one day, and certainly will get it wrapped... Hehe, she's pretty~ and I got her name, but aiyaahhhhh.... My short term memory has stored in somewhere locked and sealed~ aduh....

5. Genting and Port Dickson plans... Mission accomplished. Thanks to Edward for your availability and keeping me accompanied. Hahaha! Love the Flying Coasters much!!! Hahaha...

6. Early May - Darn crazy about Toast Box. Thumbs-up!

Wow... December has finally ended.

And, here are what happened last December: -

1. Eveybody was not really in the mood of working.... Blame the public holidays!!! Most of Dec 2009 public holidays falls on Friday, making that we only worked for 4 days every week. Hehehe...

2. I am so in love with KBS World's Chit Chat of Beautiful Ladies... Check it out guys, on channel 303, Astro. All the ladies are beautiful, and their topics (It's a talkshow dealing with various issues with most of them concentrating on the cultural diversities) are fun yet informative, plus entertaining. And, watch out for Bianca, a US cute gal... Or maybe Christina, a married Italian... Hmmm... But so sad, our cute Malaysian Sophia Suraya is no longer there... Eva (Great Britain) is no longer there too... Hahaha...

3. In shopping mood~

4. Life was somehow a bit tough... But thinking of 2010 and the in-hand plan, relief keeps shining through...

THE GOOD & THE BAD

I think I should start with the bad first... save the best for last (Love this adage... lols). Ok, here we go: -

THE BAD

Some time last week, I realised that I've misplaced a.k.a lost my RapidKL monthly pass... Gosh~ I realised that right in front of KL Sentral's LRT Station, on my way back from office... Hmm... Means that I have to bear the additional daily commuting cost... Sigh~

But heck, that is not the story...

The BAD began here... I approached one of the ticket counters (There were two), queuing up behind 4 people. At the other counter, there was this Indian tourist (I guessed he's Indian from his look, duh! And his English too~ lols) who was trying his best explaining to the ticketing staff where he was going, and the ticket he needed... All that I could hear was that he mentioned "change train" and "stadium"... The exact destination he was heading to, none of us presented there could ever guess as he himself seemed lost and his English mastery wasn't that good, plus the Indian-English accent... And so on the ticketing staff attending him didn't really manage to help him, leaving the queue became longer and longer... And here's the really BAD part.

My ticket counter staff ("MTC"): (With a berlagak (translation: snooty) face) Hey, suruh dia datang sini, biar aku cakap ngan dia.

Then that tourist approached to my line, right before my turn, exactly in front of me...

MTC: Sir, where are you going?

Tourist: Erm.... bla... bla... bla... change... bla... bla...

MTC: Nevermind, sir... (Snootier face) You take this card, it's a prepaid... With this card, you can go anywhere you want... It has RM10 inside (Duh, what an English?? Heck, she should go telling that the stored value is RM10... lols)

Tourist: ??? bla... bla... bla... change... stadium... bla... bla... bla...

MTC: bla... bla... prepaid... bla... bla....

This bla... bla... duck and chicken conversation went on for like 3 minutes with my line became longer and longer, just like what had happened to the other counter before the tourist switching to my line... sigh...

Me: Excuse me, can't you just give my ticket first?

MTC: ??? (Seemed ignoring me... And was still figuring of the whereabout the tourist were heading to)

Me: EXCUSE ME. I'm going to Masjid Jamek. (handing over RM10 note)

MTC: ???? Encik, janganlah marah. saya sedang tolong dia ni (Means the tourist)

Me: Heck! How long are you gona waste my time. Just now he was at the other line, the you asked him to cut my queue... I have been waiting for like 3-5 minutes.

MTC: Encik...

Me: Hey, he's a customer, and I'm a customer too... Even the frequent. Just because that he is a tourist, he doesn't deserve such a special treatment. You can ask you colleague (pointing at one male staff who was standing next to that MTC) to serve him... Don't drag other people's time, please.

MTC & that male colleague: Encik... (The tourist started to dial his friend's number asking for a proper direction)

Me: Just gimme that FUCKIN' ticket!!

Another passenger behind me: Idiots! Don't waste our time!

I got the ticket, finally.

And the rest of the line got their tickets too... lols!

Who was the idiot, you figure out yourself.

THE GOOD

The next morning, I paid RM50 for a RM1.30 ticket at the Masjid Jamek LRT ticket counter, as I was heading to KL Sentral. Here's the conversation: -

Me: KL Sentral, please.

Another Ticketing Staff ("ATC"): Encik, tak ada duit kecil ke?

Me: Maaf, tak ada. baru je saya keluarkan duit daripada ATM.

ATS: (Nodding)

And guess what, she gave me these:

1. RM8.70 in 8 notes of RM1 and 1 piece of 50 cents and 10 cents (3 pieces).

2. RM50 in RM1 (8 notes), RM10 (3), RM5 (2) and 50 cents (4).

Altogether, she returned me RM58.70!!!

And I only realised that once I reached office, in Shah Alam!!! Lols.

You may count how much profit I've made... Lols.

THE MORALS

1. There are some of us who still has the stigma that tourists are superiors than the locals.

2. RapidKL should equip their staff (including the ticketing agent) with a contingency plan whenever special case /attention arise. This does not only limited to when and where the LRTs crash or when the station is in fire. You know what I mean, when such thing like what happened to me in "THE BAD" section, what should be the most appropriate action was to take that tourist aside, and let the other staff to attend to his need, without delaying other people's turn, neither to ask him to jump queue. Lols... Lots more to learn, RapidKL!

3. RapidKL should polish the English proficiency of their staff.

4. Guys, always pay in big note in the morning, who knows you might end up making incidental profit... Like I did. duh~

I am not into Revlon nor Sunsilk, yet I do prefer VO5. What else yea, hmmm.... I would always prefer Motorola to Nokia, and even to iPhone... Hahaha... It's just me, I am into the underdogs, and think that the famous and populars are just being ovverrated with more spotlight given to them... It's just me... No offense yea. .
Yes, I love KIA since my first car. My then Kia Spectra was at least on the same par as the Honda City and Toyota Vios... And even its driver's seat is more comfortable and the legroom is much spacious compared to City and Vios... Hahaha... I dun care your stare lah, Amy!!! I love Kia and I believe if it were given the spotlight, it could have shone better than its rivals... Lols. .

Yes, I've been so crazily browsing and looking for KIA Forte's information, i.e. the specifications, the reviews, the photos and as well as the price online... And yes, I have to mention here, I have spotted 1 lorry transporting like 5 KIA Fortes to Shah Alam last week, and hell yes, they looked so classy... so BMW, so Merz... Hahaha! I should say, Honda City is just one history, ahah! Forgive me for being overboard... Lols. .

FROM CHERAS TO SHAH ALAM

Most of my friends know that I am currently commuting to and fro office by public transportations as I now have no car. Believe it or not, I somehow enjoy taking public transports... Hahaha...

I bought the RM1oo monthly pass for LRT, meaning that I am now able to go anywhere using LRT (hahaha... as long as the places are reachable by LRT la, duh~) without the hassle of queuing up for tickets... Nice! Especially for someone like me who sometimes forgot to bring cash along~ hahaha...

Anyway... it's not about the ticket that I am about to go all out crapping in here... Nah, it won't be interesting at all to crap bout tickets!! Hahaha... Well, read further to find out what I've classified as annoyingly hillarious stories that happened almost everyday and faced by almost all LRT-Takers.

1. Illiterate people

Do you notice that there are signboards telling all people using the escalators at Masjid Jamek and KL Sentral LRT Stations that asking not-so-rushing people to stay on the left side of the escalators so that the rushing-people could dash down and up the escalators easily.... Those signboards were hang there with purpose... So, please la, to all my dear LRT-Takers, don't be so illiterate pagan wearing expensive slacks and ties standing on the right side of the escalators during peak hours. And even please, when people ask you to give them way, dun la give them a fierce stare. you might end up having a palm print on your face k. We know that you work in KL and your punch-in time is at 9am... Just please be empathy of people working in Shah Alam like me who have to rush to catch the always-late commuters and buses.

P/s: I think this stand on left, walk on right rules shall apply at all LRT escalators, not limited to Masjid Jamek and KL Sentral Stations only.

2. Deodorant-less people

I just dun get it people, seriously! Why do we have to stink so bad in the morning... Tak mandi pagi ke? Tak pakai deodorant ke?

It is acceptable should you stink at 4pm - 8pm, as you might'd been doing lots of sweaty chores in offices or sites... But in the morning, heck!!!

Fellow LRT-Takers, why should you spend RM400 for hot-shower installation fee if you don't use them when you should? How come that you could never notice the odour that comes from your armpits? Don't you realise that there's totally no use of spending RM500+ for nice attires should you stink real bad?

Come on fellow people, for other people's sake: -

(a) Please lah mandi pagi... Dun tell me you had mandi before went for bed last nite... That's last nite la!

(b) Please lah put some deodorants... No matter la whether you are a cleaner, or labour, executive or manager, do it for other people's sake... You can ask your wife or husband to smell them should you are darn proud of your body odour... But a BIG NO NO for other people yea...

P/s: Maybe we should get Rexona doing road shows at the LRT stations and Komuters to Klang and Sentul Stations so that these stink people can be introduced with some products called 'deodorants'... and Rexona might explore new market... hehehe... talking bout killing 2 birds with 1 stone.

3. Pole People

This is a situation where the so indifferent people hugging the pole inside the LRT or Komuter as if they wereso in love with the pole... and they think of bringing the pole home. Same goes to the people who are so selfish leaning against the pole. Most of them, if you notice are the Indonesian workers, Indian (old & young) ladies, young Chinese (both male & female) and young & old Malay ladies... They are so indifferent... So insenstitive leaving other people have to hold to nowhere.

People, be considerate, we know that you are tired, but please do not hug the pole, and do not lean against it too... Other people such as elder people or weaker people as well as the shorter people, they might need the pole to hold during the bumpy rides, as they cannot reach the rail hanging above their head.

This is somewhat annoying! Hahaha... there are some people who would either: -

(a) Talk on their phone so loud

(b) Chat with their friends non-stop loudly since boarding till disembarking

Hahaha... There's no need to elaborate more, rite? I think all of us know how annoying these people could be. I have had an incident when someone who was so irked with the above (b)-type of people compaining to them to pause chatting for a while as he got tired listening to them loudly chatting since boarding the train from Padang Jawa till Kg. Dato' Harun. And guess what, they would never stop chatting should that someone didn't complain.

And it is not that we do not like Tamil and Hindi songs, but please lah... You do not have to play your favourite songs too loud in the commuter... you may use the earphone or just sorry, listen them at home...

P/s: Sometimes the group (c) people deliberately play the songs loud. If you play Michael Buble's Everything, then OK lah... hahaha... it's pretty much soothing... but to a loud and noisy tamil music... sorry lah... we are so tired in the evening after piles of office works.

Nudge: I somehow find it is interesting commuting from Cheras to Shah Alam by public transports. Start my morning journey by taking STAR LRT from Chan Sow Lin Station to Masjid Jamek Station where I interchange to PUTA LRT to KL Sentral that I gotta buy and queue for KTMB Komuter to Batu Tiga Shah Alam, I can see lots of funny and sometimes annoying truth about us, people's attitude & manners. Sad, but yes, it's colourful! Lots more to write, but save it for next time.

October went well for me...

1. I've moved into a room somewhere in Bandar Sri Permaisuri. It was a cosy room, in fact I love the windy noon much. But for some reasons, I am now shifted myself to my aunt's place in Maluri.

Dear John Doe, Aina and Darwis,

As you guys kept asking... here's my answer.

My perfume is not CK, neither DKNY (though that's my fav perfume), nor Emporio Armani. It is just a perfume which I took from my mom's box, that only cost her RM5 per small bottle (very small though), known as One-Drop Perfume.

Hahaha... So now, u guys know already la... Hahaha... Anyway, though it's a cheap perfume, but yes, it smells very nice, rite? As well, it has those expensive+branded scents, rite? Hahaha... So, now I believe that good things do not only come with high price tags. Hehehe...

Anyway, not for the purpose of promoting One-Drop Perfume, as I'm not its dealer or anything... Just in case that you may want to look for the same perfume, take a look of its box... And note that it comes with 8 small bottles per box, with different scents inspired from famous brands ler like Davidoff, Estee Lauder and etc. And there are like 4 or 5 types of boxes... Errr... Wanna know more, find it in store! Hehehe... And onw more thing, dun worry, it's safe+hygienic+non-alcoholic and yes, it lasts on your body for one whole day.
